Convenient Feeding Control
Zoo Med feeding tongs make it easier to hold and present suitable food to pets. They are useful for offering insects to reptiles, placing food within reach, and managing routine feeding tasks in terrariums and other animal enclosures.
Practical and Lightweight Design
The plastic construction makes these tongs lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Their compact length is useful for everyday feeding tasks, especially when handling smaller food items or feeding animals in confined spaces.
A More Hygienic Feeding Method
Using dedicated feeding tongs can reduce direct contact with animal food and provide an alternative to feeding with fingers. Zoo Med lists its standard feeding tongs for hand-feeding reptiles, birds, fish, and small animals.
Everyday Use and Maintenance
Clean the tongs after use and allow them to dry before storing. Inspect them regularly for cracks, sharp edges, or other damage, and replace them if necessary. Choose a tool appropriate for your pet's size and feeding behaviour, and supervise feeding when there is a risk of accidental biting or swallowing.
Zoo Med feeding tongs are a useful addition to a pet-feeding setup for owners who want a simple, reusable tool for handling food.
