Feed juveniles twice weekly with appropriately-sized crickets or roaches; adults require feeding once weekly. Offer a shallow water dish and mist lightly once monthly. Handle sparingly, as they are defensive and possess a venomous sting. Lifespan typically ranges from 3–8 years depending on sex and care quality. Keep enclosures escape-proof and away from children and pets. Provide hiding spots and minimal décor to reduce stress. Monitor for signs of dehydration or improper molting.
