The Charcoal RES sub-adult is a red-eared slider exhibiting a charcoal morph, characterized by reduced red pigmentation. Ensure a habitat with clean water maintained at 24–28°C and access to UVB lighting for 10–12 hours daily to support shell and bone health. Provide a basking area with temperatures around 32–35°C. Feed a balanced diet of aquatic vegetation, commercial turtle pellets, and occasional protein sources to meet nutritional needs. Regular water filtration and weekly partial water changes of 25–30% are essential to maintain water quality and prevent disease.
